Jason Stephens

President & Founder

Jason Stephens, President and Founder of StratInova, has over 15 years of experience operating on multidisciplinary pharmaceutical marketing teams. He is often charged with presenting business analytics and competitive intelligence insights to steer significant commercial decisions in regards to new product planning.

In former client side roles, Jason served as Director of Market Research for UCB. While focused on preparing UCB for its first biologic product launch, he managed the US Market Research Team and created new, synergistic and cost-effective practices with UCB’s European headquarters. Prior to UCB, Jason worked as Associate Director of European Business Development for Chiron Biopharmaceuticals, building and synergizing worldwide market research and forecasting capabilities. Jason gained his early analytical consulting experience at IMS Health working with numerous biotech companies and enhancing client service to West Coast biotech companies. His pharmaceutical career began in specialty sales with Eli Lilly. Jason is a graduate of The Pennsylvania State University.

Jason lives in Manhattan and Miami. Outside of work, Jason is an avid Crossfitter and enjoys running, biking and kayaking. He also enjoys traveling to new and adventurous destinations.

Ravi Koni

Team Leader, Forecasting & Analysis

Ravi Koni, Team Leader, Forecasting and Analysis, has 11 years of experience in the biopharmaceutical industry. He is focused on conceptualizing and leading highly analytical projects, including strategic market analyses, portfolio assessments, licensing evaluations, and forecasting.

Ravi has extensive experience in developing unique forecast methodologies, economic models, and decision analysis models for established markets, as well as evolving therapeutic areas with new patient pathways. As an active member of ISPOR, he also researches health technology assessments.

Prior to joining StratInova, Ravi led the Sales Forecasting and Valuation Practice at an analytics firm, which is now part of IMS Health. In his earlier pharmaceutical career, Ravi held Sales and Product Management roles at major Indian generic manufacturers (Wallace Pharmaceuticals Ltd. and Pharmed Ltd.). His responsibilities included launching and managing branded generics across orthopedic, gynecology, anti-infective, and gastroenterology therapy areas. Ravi holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Life Sciences and an MBA from Manipal University, India.

Ravi lives in Bangalore. Outside of work, Ravi enjoys biking, hiking and taking motorcycle rides to rarely explored destinations.

Therapeutic Expertise

The majority of StratInova's projects relate to new biologic drug development. Therefore, we have significant and credible expertise within oncology and autoimmune disorders. Other therapy areas of focus include CNS, pain, cardiovascular, dermatology, respiratory and infectious disease (HIV, HCV and vaccines).

Also, with strong web search and data collection capabilities, we are increasingly taking project work within niche tumors and rare diseases, areas where little information is readily available to market planning groups.
